Travel to a Truly Wild Place with Wolf Brother

Wolf Brother is set 6,000 years ago in the wild forests and mountains of the stone age. The young protagonist, Torak, is an orphan, living deep in the forest with his wolf cub companion. He's a master survivor with an instinct for the nuances of the land around him. He follows the animals as they move with the seasons, he understands how to turn the plants around him into tools, food or medicine, he listens to his body and knows how to support himself through sickness, and he is in awe at the wonder of his ever-changing landscape. Torak's connection with the animals of the forest enables him to hunt them successfully but he never kills more than he needs, nor does he kill for fun. Animals are respected in death and they are never taken for granted, because no meal is a certainty for this young boy or his wolf brother. Torak is unburdened by possessions and he leaves no trace of himself as he travels on his journey to save the forest from the evil that is stalking it.
